strata (BrightQuery)
gross ferrochrome (FeCr) smelter capacity for 13 named world plants (~4.6 Mt/yr disclosed against a ~15.7 Mt/yr world production / ~25.4 Mt/yr world capacity per USGS MYB 2023); Samancor (MVA-only), Kazchrome (total-ferroalloy) and China's fragmented cluster are withheld, so capacity-known < the full fleet is honest

USGS MYB 2023 Table 6 anchors world (25.4 Mt/yr capacity, 15.7 Mt/yr 2023 output) and country FeCr capacity; per-plant figures from Merafe/Glencore, Outokumpu, Eti Krom, Zimasco, Vedanta and Balasore official disclosures.
Proprietary vendors (S&P, CRU, WoodMac, Fastmarkets, Roskill, Argus, SMM, Benchmark) and member-gated ICDA demand bulletins are out of license scope: where a figure exists only via such a source it is withheld, the plant row kept. Basis is GROSS FeCr alloy tonnes, never contained chromium and never chromite ore; MVA (installed furnace power) is never converted to tonnes; company / multi-plant aggregates are never placed on a single plant as summable capacity.
