Minerals Council South Africa (production/sales series: DMPR national statistics; export series: SARS customs)
South Africa national manganese-ore + chromite statistics from the Minerals Council's annual Facts and Figures Datasheets workbook (Manganese + Chrome sheets, 2013-2024): saleable production, total sales volume (local + export) and export sales volume, per commodity per year. SA is the world's #1 producer of both manganese ore and chromite, so this is the authoritative national deepening for both dossiers. ALL tonnages are SALEABLE ORE (gross ore mass; Mn ore ~30-50% Mn, chromite ~40-46% Cr2O3) - never contained metal, and never ferrochrome (a distinct smelter stage the datasheets do not carry).

ZA-1. Verified against BGS WMS 2025: chromite production 2024 = 22,919,732 t in BOTH (BGS sources SA from DMPR); manganese ore 2024 MCSA 19,686,238 t vs BGS 19,710,045 t (minor revision drift). Adds the local-vs-export sales split BGS does not carry.
